Judge’s Feedback:

Neil has done a wonderful job of capturing this months theme of “curves”. There is nothing distracting in the background, no where else for our eyes to look at and we enjoy this strong yet simple composition.

The image draws it’s strength from the powerful composition. The eyes are drawn from left to right. This creates movement and flow which is synonymous with curves and movement.

The graduation of dark to light to dark again is a very clever way to lead someones eyes into where you want them to look. Used by photographers at an advanced level, this graduation of colour is used the way light is used. Illuminating one area of the subject so that all other areas become less distracting, is a good technique to use.

Congrats Neil, a stunning photo!
