Theme : “Motion”

Bob Bird has done it again! He just keeps getting better and better. It gives me great pleasure to award him the winning place of this month’s competition for “motion”.
Bob has successfully captured this little Bee swimming to safety. The ripples caused by the Bee’s motion means we are not only completely engaged in the subject and his plight but also admire the patterns formed by his struggle.
The motion of the water is a strong point of this image for another reason. The fact that there are ripples to the edges of the frame indicate the intensity of his struggle. This gives rise to the plight and difficultly this creature is experiencing. we can get an insight into the experience of the Bee. This is the strength of this image.
The colour and composition work beautifully. Bob has captured the Bee in exactly the right spot and allowed the ripples to extend outwards and filling the frame.
Bob, you make us proud. Keep up these fabulous images! We love seeing your work.
P.S Lets hope the Bee made it to safety.

Thank you very much for taking the time to submit your photos. You have done a great job. We have a limitation of one Winner and 8 finalists photos. This is due to the wonderful success and popularity of Focus Ezine and that we are now getting a large number of entries each month. If you don’t see yours here it’s not because we didn’t like it, it’s simply because of space limitations.
Please add your comments about any of these great photo efforts at the bottom of the page.
