June 2011: Photo Comp Results

Winning Photo

Theme: “Family Life”

Canon EOS550D, 1/50sec, f5, ISO 3200, 52mm FL, EF-S18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS lens

Why Sylvia Won:

This was a great photo. The first thing we both loved about it was the natural smiles and happiness that this family was conveying. The cheeky little grin on the childs face made us both laugh and smile. The grin on the little girls face was as if to say “I know I am not supposed to do this, but this is so funny!”

The composition was terrific- she had everything placed nice and evenly, creating good and effective composition. The light coming from the left hand side of the picture was not too much to overexpose anything and offered us a chance to really enjoy the story going on.

A great job. Well done Sylvia!
