Judge’s Feedback:

Denis has captured this scene beautifully. He’s given us leading lines along with soft filtered light that makes the browns richer, the fence link in more to the emotive qualities of the photo, and the green as a support to the theme.

The dappled leaves along the track alleviates what could have been a bland path of dirt. Denis has angled the camera in a way where he’s leading us into the story and kept the path sitting in a structured yet comfortable way.

Even though this photo is quite busy, we find that this does not detract from the interest we have in the scene. And the darkness at the center of the photo lead us to feel there is something perhaps mysterious at the end of the path.

With all these elements combined Denis has created an interesting, yet simple photo, that captures our imagination beautifully whilst keeping in with the theme of the month.

Well done Denis.

Great shot Denis, makes one want to go for a walk. Looks inviting as well as looking peaceful.

It’s getting harder with some of these shots. Bob makes me wish it was happy hour.

I have to say Amy does push one’s imagination. I wonder if finding new ideas is as hard as getting the photo ?

All the photos look so Australian, I wonder if they are.

Thank you Derek ,Glad you like my photograph, it is very, very quite and peaceful there although you are on the outskirts of London. But as with all photographs its about being in the right place at the right time, and did I mention the temperature was just above freezing ,although you can’t tell from the picture.
