Paul and I want to wish you a wonderful and happy new year!
I have been doing some new work (illustrative- making photos look like paintings and drawings) and I will be sharing my work and techniques with you over the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

What a brilliant shot! Bob, I have seen you go from strength to strength with your photography over the last couple of years. I don’t know whether you have just been practicing a lot or reading lots of National Geographic magazines, but this shot is probably the best one I have seen from your submissions.
Even though there are thousands of Penguins, Bob has framed this in such a way where the composition is just spot on. The way that there is more congestion at the back and more space between the birds at the front keeps our eye interested the whole way through out the picture from start to finish. Even though this shot looks like it’s about disorder (and busy), this shot is well structured and very well composed.
And a very busy holiday season…
We are so proud to award Bob the winner for this month!
Brilliant work Bob.

Thank you very much for taking the time to submit your photos. You have done a great job. We have a limitation of one Winner and 8 finalists photos. This is due to the wonderful success and popularity of Focus Ezine and that we are now getting a large number of entries each month. If you don’t see yours here it’s not because we didn’t like it, it’s simply because of space limitations.
Please add your comments about any of these great photo efforts at the bottom of the page.
