Theme : In Flight
Sony ILCE 7RM2, F8, 1/500
What a great shot! Elaine has chosen a magnificent angle for her entry. I love the fish-eye look (due to a wide angle).
The striking thing about this image is the feeling of expanse and freedom. We do really feel like we’re up there in the air looking down. It’s a wonderful perspective. The engine of the plane and the houses below give a beautiful contrasting perspective that gives this image depth and expanse.
The cloud cover help bring our eyes into the houses below. They almost sit on the line of rule of thirds. This is a framing technique that’s used by professional photographers. Framing is also a great way to help crop and re-position elements in the scene.
Elaine has done a great job and we thank her very much for her contribution.
