April 2011: Photo Comp Results

Winning Photo

Theme: “Street Signs”

One Way Up

Canon EOS 550D,  F11, 1/80sec, 24mm FL.

Why Lynda Won:

This photo won because of the clever way Lynda has coupled beautiful lighting with striking composition. The sun’s bright rays to the right of the picture add an interesting to the photo, in fact, it enrols us in the scene even more. The composition has created a feeling of distance and height. The angle at which Lynda shot this, and the focal length, has given us a fantastic perspective into city life.

Well done Lynda!

If you don’t see yours here it’s not because we didn’t like it, it’s simply because of space limitations.

Please add your comments to any of these great photo efforts at the bottom of the page.

Ever looked at the clock or your watch and still not known what the time was? We’ve all done it. Now, we’d like to see what you look at when you check the time. Do you look at a simple digital watch? An antique clock? Or perhaps a large clock in an office? Whatever you bench mark your schedule with, we’d love to see it. And we’d love to see it shot in the most creative way you can.
